The ultimate expression of life

is to experience itself

We are at a place in human evolution in which science and technology are making groundbreaking advances and breathtaking discoveries leaving many of all generations questioning our beginnings, middle...and end. We are on an evolutionary path that has been obscured by religious beliefs, metaphysical yearnings, and political and social self-preservation.

Homo sapiens, modern man, “amalgamated” some 300,000 years ago from eight lineages of the Homo genus that we currently know of, spanning the last 2.5 million years. Our planet’s 4.6 billion year history has been nothing short of miraculous with 99.9% of all life that has ever existed going extinct. However, from that little bit of life that has survived, we somehow have not only managed to appear, but survived long enough to be here and now...a mere fraction of a fraction of Earth’s existence. It has been a process of creation and destruction encompassing five mass extinctions of radical shifts in atmospheric gases, extreme temperatures, volcanoes, asteroids, earthquakes and crazy stupid dumb luck with a lot of support from the innate nature of the universe ...all that is, and is not.

No doubt, life on Earth has been very strange and unrelenting from its very beginnings. We grow up learning about dinosaurs and strange deep sea “creatures” that resemble something we might expect on an alien planet. Yet, most of us have just come to accept it. But, take a moment and really ponder the strange diversity that has been and is present on Earth today, and the absolute uncertainty of it to have ever existed. Life on Earth has taken infinite attempts and infinite pathways as it emerged, vanished, hibernated, struggled and thrived with a diversity, both past and present, that is very simply, mind boggling. Yet, defying all odds, it finally, after 4.57 BILLION years, evolved into a life that is capable of understanding the world from which it came. An ever increasing understanding of the world beyond our senses...from a world of quantum physics that defy the logic of our material world to the far reaches of our universe, which are challenging our concepts of the infiniteness of space-time and our very reason for, and nature of, existence. A life capable of being so encompassing, so intimate, so compassionate...so infinite, that consciousness and life itself can become virtually indistinguishable as our consciousness continues it’s evolutionary journey as the infiniteness of being slowly becomes conscious.
